Recently, ADVANCED SOLARPOWER (Hangzhou) Co. , Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as "ASP") and its Jiaxing PV Technology Exhibition Hall Building PV Integration Project officially registered for the second national distributed PV Application Innovation Gold Award, will compete for the "2017 China's best public building distributed PV Project Gold Award. The total construction area of the project is about 8,695 square meters, of which the construction area of PV Science and Technology Museum is about 4,832 square meters, PV curtain wall installation area of 5,261 square meters.
The installation of PV modules is diversified throughout the corner of the pavilion, covering the South Facade curtain wall, the West Facade Curtain Wall, the East facade curtain wall, the pitched roof, the PV canopy, the PV tower and the daylighting roof.
The modules are all large CdTe thin film modules , including 385pcs 1.2 m * 2.4 m transmittance 50% CdTe thin film modules , 336pcs 1.2 m * 2.4 m white CdTe thin film modules, 287pcs 1.2 m * 1.8 m transmittance 50% CdTe thin film modules, 721pcs 1.2 m * 1.8 m opaque CdTe thin film modules. The total installation area is 4253 M2, installed capacity 310KW. Each kind of anisotropic cadmium telluride thin film simulation module 234 pieces, the area 1008 square meters. 224 silicon modules installed on the roof, 58KW installed capacity. The total installed capacity of the project is 368KW (excluding the northern curtain wall)

The reason for the selection:
The project adopts cadmium telluride thin film transmission module, the surface color is uniform, pure black, the integrity is strong, the conversion efficiency is high, the stability is good, the adaptability is strong. The project is based on the light sensitive and low light properties of CdTe film modules, which are installed at different installation angles to reduce the loss of power generation capacity and reduce the building's air conditioning energy consumption.
The size, variety, high standards, assembly production of CdTe thin film solar energy transmission module are difficult, highly customized, both daylighting and power generation. Products according to customer requirements, made of different sizes, different transmittance and different colors, perfect replacement of traditional curtain wall glass, real PV glass instead of building glass, for the urban building put on a new coat of green development!
The entire facade and roof of the PV Technology Exhibition Hall are all decorated with glass, which not only meets the requirements of indoor lighting, heat preservation and insulation, but also meets the function of power generation of the curtain wall and meets the architectural aesthetic effect. Under these three technical requirements, CdTe thin film transmission module realizes the designer's customizable requirement of multi-size and multi-specification of PV glass.
From the beginning of the design to the production of only 2 months, ASP’s product development team used existing glass mapping, through a lot of practice to explore the innovative technology targeted. During the production process, the Production Department of ASP has customized the project to meet the requirements of multi-size and multi-specification, as well as the high demonstration and timeliness of the project, all 1815 pieces of specifications and more than 200 pieces of abnormal arrived at the scene of a product through customer inspection, no defective goods.
Moreover, CdTe thin film modules have a high power generation capacity, generating 5%-8% more power per watt than silicon solar modules in Hangzhou area, and CdTe materials are direct gap materials with good full-spectrum absorption, so in the early morning, evening, rainy days and other weak light conditions, power generation capacity is significantly better than silicon cells.
BIPV is the inevitable direction of the development of pv in the future.
