2012-SNEC:Advanced Solar Power Releases its 2X4 Panel to the Public

2012-05-16

May 16, 2012, SNEC Shanghai, China. For the first time, Advanced Solar Power proudly releases the three different product lines of its 2ft X 4ft CdTe thin-film solar panel to the general public. It is also the first time a Chinese photovoltaic company to display CdTe solar panels that is entirely built in China in a world-class photovoltaic focused exhibition.

From this day on, ASP has given a new meaning to Made in China in the field of CdTe thin-film solar panel manufacturing field. Not only the technology to build the panel is wholly proprietary to the company, but also ASP designed and built its very first automated assembly line to produce panels in China. Such a combination will give ASP a significant competition advantage and sustainability when its solar panels make to both the global and domestic markets. Along with well-controlled manufacturing cost, ASP's first generation CdTe thin-film solar panels has also made a stunning banchmark in the initial conversion efficiency among the same type of solar panels. According to Yangzhou Photovoltaic Test Center, ASP's 2X4 panels has reached 11.36% for their conversion efficiency. The press called ASP's panels "a highlight of 2012 SNEC."
